Delete a Becoming Alt Account
Becoming Alt separates local device data from an optional connected account. Deleting one does not silently delete the other.
Launch status
Optional connected accounts are enabled for the current Production candidate. Cloud- account deletion is available in the app, while local-data deletion remains a separate device action.
Export first
In Settings, choose Export Data before deletion if you want a checksum-protected copy of supported JSON state and media. A signed-in export also includes owned Community records and private Community images. Exports exclude credentials, caches, internal queues, and staff-only notes.
Delete a cloud account in the app
- Open Settings → Account → Delete Cloud Account.
- Review export and Apple subscription-management options.
- Type DELETE, then complete fresh Sign in with Apple authentication.
- Keep the app installed until the server confirms completion.
What cloud-account deletion removes
The deletion job revokes the Apple sign-in token, removes private sync state and both private media areas, removes account-owned Community data, clears report or appeal prose from retained anonymous safety records, and deletes the authentication user last. The app clears the matching account workspace only after server confirmation.
Limited retained records
A one-way transaction hash may remain to restore paid access and prevent the same Store purchase from being claimed by two active accounts. It cannot reveal the transaction number or deleted app content. Required anonymous moderation, security, legal, and backup records follow the retention schedule in the Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions are separate
Deleting a Becoming Alt account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel it in Apple subscription settings.
Delete local device data
Settings → Delete All Local Data removes the active local workspace, imported media, queues, conflicts, baselines, and recovery copies from that device. It does not delete a connected account. Apple-managed device or iCloud backups are controlled by Apple.
