Affirmday Privacy Policy

Affirmday is a free, accountless, local-first daily-affirmation app. Your favorites, streaks and practice history, focus choices, reminder settings, widget snapshot, and ritual progress stay on your device. Banana Apps does not receive them and does not use them for analytics, advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking. Affirmday's Apple privacy manifests declare no collected data, no tracking, and required-reason UserDefaults access only.

The following categories are processed on your device and are not sent to Banana Apps:

• UserDefaults: onboarding-completed flag, selected focus-area deck IDs, theme/atmosphere, breathing-guide toggle, reminders-enabled flag, reminder count, reminder start/end minutes, daily ritual assignment/progress/completion, recent-content history, and milestone display flags
• SwiftData favorites: bundled affirmation stable ID, text snapshot, deck ID, and saved date
• SwiftData practice history: completed practice days keyed by date
• App Group widget snapshot: one bundled affirmation, bundled deck label, atmosphere name, and calendar day key
• Local notification records under affirmday.reminder.* with delivery dates/times and bundled affirmation text (rolling 14-day window, capped at 60 pending requests)

These local categories are not used for analytics, advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.

Favorites and completed practice days are stored locally in SwiftData. You can remove individual favorites in the app. Affirmday does not currently include an in-app control to reset all local data, delete practice history, or export it.

Choosing focus areas (for example Anxiety Relief, Grief, Healing, Body & Wellness, Motherhood, Inner Child, Loneliness, or Recovery) can reveal private wellness interests. Focus selections stay on your device. Banana Apps does not receive them.

The five-card ritual assignment, progress, and completion state are stored locally so the app can resume where you left off and update your streak and history.

Reminder notifications are scheduled and delivered by Apple UserNotifications on your device. There is no push token, no notification server, and no remote campaign provider. Affirmday schedules one to eight local notifications per day within a time window you choose, using identifiers under affirmday.reminder.*, capped at 60 pending requests and rolling forward across a 14-day window.

Notification alerts and sounds can appear on your lock screen according to your device notification settings; anyone with access to your unlocked or previewable screen may see them.

The Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read a small local snapshot in the app group container: one bundled affirmation, the bundled deck label, the atmosphere name, and a calendar day key. The snapshot never leaves your device.

When you share a post or story card, Affirmday renders an image and caption locally and hands them to Apple's system share sheet. You choose the destination. Affirmday does not learn the destination and does not receive a copy of what you sent. The destination service or recipient receives the shared image under its own terms and privacy practices.

Affirmday does not create an account, register a login, sign in with a third party, use ATT tracking, generate advertising or attribution identifiers, upload favorites or practice history, upload focus selections, upload reminder settings, upload widget data, or send device or usage telemetry to Banana Apps.

Affirmday does not include analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or attribution SDKs. Affirmday writes only privacy-safe Apple OSLog failure categories and localized system error descriptions; affirmation text is not intentionally written to operational logs. Apple platform diagnostics behavior, if enabled by you, is controlled by Apple.

If you email [email protected], Banana Apps and our email provider may receive your email address and name, the message content, and any device information, screenshots, or recordings you voluntarily attach.

Support mailbox provider: Google Workspace. Access controls: the support mailbox is restricted to authorized Banana Apps LLC personnel. Retention and backup practices: support messages are retained for up to 24 months and covered by our email provider’s standard backup schedule. Deletion process: support messages are deleted within 12 months of the last interaction on request.

Affirmday relies on the following platform services:

• Apple UserNotifications — Scheduling and delivering local reminder notifications on the device. No push token, notification server, or remote campaign provider.
• Apple WidgetKit / App Group — Providing the Home Screen and Lock Screen widget with a local snapshot of one bundled affirmation.
• Apple UserDefaults, SwiftData, and OSLog — On-device state persistence and generic operational logging.
• Apple share sheet — Passing a locally rendered image and caption to a destination you choose. The destination applies its own terms. Affirmday does not learn the destination or receive a copy.
• Email providers — If you email Banana Apps for support, your message is stored by our email provider. Google Workspace

Local information is used to operate the daily ritual, favorites, streaks and history, widgets, reminders, and sharing on your device. Support emails are used only to answer your message.

Banana Apps does not sell app content and does not use it for targeted advertising, because Banana Apps does not receive it. We do not disclose app-side data to third parties because we do not hold it. Support emails may be processed by our email provider. When you share a card, the destination you choose receives it under its own terms.

Local app data remains on your device until you change or remove it in the app or uninstall Affirmday. Uninstalling removes Affirmday's locally accessible application data from that device. Apple may retain copies of app data in device or iCloud backups you have configured; those copies are controlled by Apple and your Apple settings, and we cannot guarantee their deletion.

Support-email retention is subject to the confirmations listed above.

Affirmday relies on the standard iOS app sandbox and platform controls Apple provides. We use reasonable safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not guarantee security.

App data is not sent to Banana Apps, so no international transfer occurs for that data. Support communications and website visits may involve providers and locations that must be confirmed; see the Website Privacy Policy.

Minimum age: ages 13 and up. Whether Affirmday is directed to children: Affirmday is not directed to children under 13. We do not claim COPPA, GDPR-K, or other children's-privacy compliance without qualified legal review.

Fixed effective and last-updated dates are shown at the top of this page. Affirmday does not currently include an in-app policy-change notice mechanism. Material changes may be described through the updated page or, where appropriate, an App Store update.
