Becoming Alt Terms of Use

These Terms govern Becoming Alt accounts, connected services, subscriptions, and Community participation. The private local core remains available without an account.

Effective August 8, 2026Last Updated August 11, 2026
01

Launch status

Optional accounts, Pro cloud continuity, subscriptions, and read-only Community access are enabled for the current Production candidate. Community contributions and media remain disabled until the verified operator gate passes. When participation opens, it requires a signed-in adult account and acceptance of these Terms and the Community Guidelines. The private local core remains available without an account.

02

Agreement and eligibility

These Terms supplement Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. By creating a connected account or joining the Community, you agree to these Terms and the Community Guidelines.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Becoming Alt account or use the Community. Guest use of the private local app does not require an account.

03

Accounts

Use your own Sign in with Apple account and keep access to your device secure. Do not impersonate someone, evade enforcement, automate abuse, or attempt to access another member's private data. We may restrict an account to protect people or the service.

04

Private app and cloud service

The private app saves locally first. Optional Pro cloud sync and media may pause safely during an outage, expired subscription, quota condition, or unavailable configuration. Keep an export of information you cannot replace. Reasonable security, storage, and abuse limits apply.

05

Your Community content

You keep ownership of content you create. By submitting Community content, you grant Banana Apps LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, display, format, moderate, and distribute it only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and review the Community.

The license ends when the content is deleted, except for limited copies required for security, legal compliance, backup recovery, or documented moderation records. You must have the rights needed to post what you submit.

06

Community safety and enforcement

Community contributions may be filtered before publication. Members can report content and block abusive users. We may hide, reject, remove, limit, preserve, or review content and may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts when needed for safety, policy enforcement, legal compliance, or service integrity.

Eligible decisions can be appealed in the app for lead review. An appeal does not automatically restore content or access. Urgent safety or legal duties may limit the details we can share.

07

Becoming Alt Pro

Becoming Alt Pro is an auto-renewable subscription for private cloud sync and private cloud media across supported Apple devices. The monthly and annual options show their current localized price and billing period before purchase. The annual option may include a seven-day trial when Apple marks the account eligible.

Payment is charged to the Apple Account at confirmation and renews automatically unless canceled through Apple. Apple controls trial eligibility, billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and price changes. All private local features and Community safety controls remain free. If Pro ends, local data continues to work, cloud reads, export, and deletion remain available, and new cloud writes wait locally.

08

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, bypass access controls or quotas, probe other accounts, introduce malicious code, scrape the Community, manipulate purchases, spam, or interfere with moderation. The Community Guidelines are part of these Terms.

09

Educational scope

Becoming Alt provides general educational and reflective material. It does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or emergency advice. Seek a qualified professional or local emergency service when needed.

10

Service changes and termination

We may change, pause, or discontinue connected features to protect users, comply with law, or maintain the service. The private local app should continue when connected services are unavailable. You may export supported data, cancel Pro through Apple, and delete your connected account in Settings.
