Military Veteran Help — Privacy Choices
This page lists the controls Military Veteran Help actually provides today. It does not describe features the app has not built yet.
Edit your local profile
Open Profile in the app to edit local profile fields, goals, interests, wellbeing focus, and other on-device inputs. These edits change local records on your device.
Opt into (or out of) cloud profile backup
Cloud profile backup is optional and only available when the shipped build is configured with Supabase credentials. When enabled, only a small allowlisted subset (preferred/display name, service branch, service status, service era, service-era tag) is transmitted. To stop backup, delete your account (see below); the app then operates entirely on-device.
Notification permission
Change reminders in iOS Settings → Notifications → Military Veteran Help, or in the app's reminder settings. There is no push token and no remote notification server; reminders are scheduled and delivered locally by Apple UserNotifications.
Export your local data
Use the in-app local JSON export to create a copy of your local records. The file is written to the app sandbox until you share it via Apple's share sheet or delete it.
Clear private activity
Use the in-app clear controls (for example, clearing search history or read history) to remove specific local activity while keeping the rest of your content.
Reset everything (full local reset)
Open Profile → Data & privacy → Reset everything to clear all local records on the device. This is separate from deleting your cloud account.
Delete your cloud account
Open Profile → Account & backup → Delete account. See Delete Account for what is and is not automatically deleted.
Support-based access, correction, and deletion requests
For information Banana Apps actually holds — your allowlisted cloud profile subset (if you have an account) and support-email content — email [email protected]. Requests are not automated. There is no self-service data portal.
What Banana Apps cannot access
Banana Apps cannot access anything that lives only on your device. That includes your journal entries, mood/symptom/trigger/sleep logs, self-check results, breathing/grounding sessions, gratitude and values entries, medication references and dose logs, appointments, claim workspace entries, evidence metadata, statement drafts, support contacts, saved items, bookmarks, checklist progress, search history, read history, streaks, and local reminder schedules. To change or delete these, use the in-app controls above.
App analytics opt-out
Not applicable to the current app build. Military Veteran Help does not integrate an external app-analytics provider, so there is no app analytics to opt out of. If that changes, this page will be updated before the change ships.
What we will never ask for
Support and privacy requests will never require your password, full payment details, government identification, Social Security number, VA file number, or medical records. Do not include any of these in a message to us.
Banana Apps does not operate an automated deletion portal that asks for those items either. Any page or form that asks for them is not us.
