DELETEto confirm.
The in-app path is: Settings → Account → Delete account.
What deletion is intended to cover
The server-side deletion function is intended to remove your active RetroLens profile and associated account-scoped information, including:
- Profile information (username, name, bio, avatar)
- Posts, captions, comments, reactions, and saves
- Private memories and saved items
- Direct messages between you and other users
- Friend requests, friendships, and blocks
- User reports you submitted
- In-app notification records
- AI processing job records and your RetroLens-side AI credit balance
- Historical device push tokens on our side
- Your Supabase authentication user for RetroLens
What deletion does NOT cover
- Your Apple or Google subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription. You must cancel through Apple or Google — see the links below.
- Store and payment records. Apple, Google, and Superwall retain transaction records under their own policies and legal obligations.
- Backups and processor-side deletion. Provider-side deletion from Superwall, Sentry, Google, and email providers, and removal from backups, is not fully confirmed. deletions propagate to third-party processors and to routine backups on their standard rolling schedule, typically within 30 days
- External copies. Screenshots, screen recordings, downloads, or content shared outside RetroLens by other users cannot be deleted by us.
- Unused AI credits. Deleting your account can permanently forfeit any unused credits, except where applicable law or a store-approved refund requires otherwise.
We do not promise instant, universal, or irreversible deletion from every service provider or backup.
Cancel your subscription first
If you want billing to stop, cancel your subscription before deleting your account:
- Apple: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions or iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → RetroLens.
- Google Play (where available): play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
Refunds are handled by the store per its own policies.
