Twist Privacy Choices
Twist is designed to work without a login, without payment, and without advertising. This page lists the privacy choices Twist actually provides today, and includes the site-wide analytics preference control for the Banana Apps website.
In-app choices you can make today
- Clear History — My List. Removes local watch history on this device and requests removal of synchronized watch history. Saved shows are preserved.
- Reset Viewing Data — Profile. Removes local saves, likes, watch history, onboarding, preferences, pending mutations, and legacy compatibility state on this device, and requests deletion of your synchronized saved-show and watch-progress rows for the current guest session.
- Autoplay — Profile. Turn autoplay of the next episode on or off.
- Genre choices — currently changed by using Reset Viewing Data and completing onboarding again. There is no dedicated genre editor in the current app.
- Likes — liked episodes are stored locally and are removed by Reset Viewing Data.
Full account deletion
Twist does not currently provide verified full deletion of the anonymous guest service account or all associated backend records. See Delete Account. We will not represent Reset Viewing Data as full deletion.
Contact-based privacy requests
Email [email protected]. Because Twist uses an anonymous guest session with no name, email, or payment identifier, we cannot reliably link a request to a particular guest account from an email alone. Identity verification must be handled through a verified process. We will not ask you for passwords, Supabase Auth tokens, payment details, government IDs, or unnecessary sensitive information in support emails.
No advertising or ATT to opt out of
Twist has no advertising and does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt, so there is no advertising or ATT opt-out to offer inside the app.
Banana Apps website analytics preference
The following control governs the Banana Apps website (getbananaapps.com), not the Twist iOS app. This preference applies site-wide, including RetroLens and other Banana Apps pages.
Essential website processing that cannot be disabled here: Cloudflare bot/security cookie and TanStack Router session-storage scroll-restoration keys used for basic navigation. Nonessential: the first-party session-id cookie set by the site analytics script, and the analytics network requests themselves.
Cookie / analytics settings
Current preference: Loading….
Accept and Decline have equal visual weight and no dark patterns. Essential Cloudflare bot/security processing and TanStack Router scroll-restoration keys are required for the site to function and cannot be disabled here.
The site analytics script (/~flock.js) is currently injected by our hosting layer, not by our source code. That means this preference can honor a decline choice by removing the session-id cookie and by continuously trying to remove it while you browse, but it cannot always block the script from loading in the first place. If applicable law where you live requires nonessential analytics to be off by default until you consent, we treat that as a blocked follow-up: the definitive fix is to move analytics behind a real load gate, and we will do that before publishing to affected regions. Preference storage and cookie clearing are local to your browser.
Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal on the first visit, we treat that as a decline for nonessential analytics on this device.
