Twist Terms of Use

By installing or using Twist, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use Twist. These Terms apply to the Twist iOS and iPadOS app operated by Banana Apps LLC. They do not cover the getbananaapps.com website (see the Website Privacy Policy).

You must be at least [MINIMUM USER AGE] to use Twist. Child-directed status: [CHILD-DIRECTED STATUS]. Storefront age rating and content themes require separate human review.

When Twist synchronizes viewer state with the content service, the Supabase Swift SDK automatically creates an anonymous guest service account for you if none exists. That guest account has no name, email, password, or payment identifier. It exists so that protected media can be authorized and so viewer state can synchronize. See the Privacy Policy.

Subject to these Terms and Apple's applicable end user license agreement, Banana Apps grants you a limited, personal, noncommercial, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Twist on Apple devices you own or control, solely for your own entertainment.

You will not (a) copy, modify, translate, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble Twist except where applicable law expressly permits; (b) rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or redistribute Twist or its content; (c) remove proprietary notices; (d) interfere with, disrupt, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to Twist, its authentication, content protection, or backend systems; (e) attempt to circumvent geographic, entitlement, or protected-media restrictions; or (f) use Twist to violate applicable law or the rights of others.

Shows, artwork, video, music, titles, scripts, cover images, brand marks, and other content in Twist are owned by Banana Apps or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Nothing in Twist grants you ownership of that content. [CONTENT LICENSING CONFIRMATION]

Titles, episodes, and features may be added, changed, removed, or unavailable in your region without notice. The catalog, playback, or backend service may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance, migration, or reasons outside Banana Apps's control. Coming-soon shows are not a promise of release.

Twist is currently free. The current app does not sell subscriptions, in-app purchases, trials, paid unlocks, credits, or ad-supported placements, and does not include a restore-purchase flow. This section does not make any promise about future commerce; if Twist introduces purchases or subscriptions, these Terms and the Privacy Policy will be updated.

You may save shows to My List, like episodes, and let Twist record and resume your watch progress. Saves and progress may synchronize with your anonymous guest account. Likes and selected genres currently remain on your device.

Twist's share action opens Apple's system share sheet with plain text. Twist does not upload your contacts and does not currently include a deep link. What happens after you share is governed by the destination service you choose.

Twist relies on Apple platform services and on Supabase for authentication, database, Edge Functions, private storage, and media delivery. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms. Twist does not use advertising, attribution, cross-app tracking, or generative-AI service providers.

Banana Apps may suspend or terminate access to Twist or specific service features where operationally necessary — for example to comply with law, protect the service and other users from abuse, respond to a security incident, or address a serious violation of these Terms. This section does not create a promise to police individual accounts.

Twist provides Clear History and Reset Viewing Data as described in the Privacy Policy. Twist does not currently provide a verified way to delete the anonymous guest Auth account and all associated records. Full deletion is a pre-release engineering blocker; see Delete Account. Nothing in these Terms should be read as a promise that emailing support currently guarantees deletion of an unidentified anonymous account.

If you send Banana Apps feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you agree that Banana Apps may use them without obligation or compensation, provided we do not identify you publicly without your permission. Support communications sent to [email protected] are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Twist is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or accuracy of catalog metadata.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers; in those jurisdictions the disclaimers above apply only to the maximum extent permitted, and nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Banana Apps LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, Twist.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including responsibilities that cannot be disclaimed by consumer-protection statutes.

These placeholders will be resolved by counsel; nothing in these Terms is intended to force arbitration, waive class-action rights, or impose an indemnification obligation until counsel confirms the appropriate language.

Twist is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of Twist is subject to Apple's applicable end user license agreement. Nothing in these Terms replaces the applicable Apple EULA. Apple is not responsible for Twist or for support of Twist under these Terms; support and privacy questions go to [email protected] and legal questions go to [email protected].

Banana Apps may update these Terms. Material changes may be described through the updated page or, where appropriate, an App Store update. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
