HS & College Calculator Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, or using the app you agree to these Terms and to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the Apple standard end-user license that apply to App Store apps. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The app is intended for high-school and college students studying math and STEM. Minimum-age and parental-consent position: ages 13 and up; users under the age of majority should use the app only with parental or guardian consent.

Subject to these Terms, Banana Apps grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on Apple devices you own or control, solely for your own educational and personal use.

You may not resell, sublicense, reverse-engineer beyond what applicable law permits, or attempt to extract source code from the app.

The app is an educational utility: a scientific calculator, offline symbolic solver, grapher, unit converter, formula reference, and workspace. It is intended to help students learn and work through STEM problems.

You are responsible for following your school's and instructors' rules on the use of calculators and solvers for coursework and exams. The app does not enforce academic-integrity rules for you.

Use the app only in ways that comply with applicable law and your school's policies. Do not use the app to circumvent testing environments where such tools are prohibited.

The app does not create Banana Apps accounts. There is no login, password, or profile you register with us.

The current app is free to download and use. It contains no in-app purchases, subscriptions, trials, credits, paywalls, or refund process operated by Banana Apps. If this ever changes we will update these Terms and disclose purchase terms in the app before you pay.

You own the notes, calculations, saved solution steps, workspaces, saved graphs, and other content you create in the app. Because Banana Apps does not receive this content, we do not require a broad license to operate, host, or display it.

The app, its interface, code, and other Banana Apps materials are owned by Banana Apps LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Mathematical formulas, scientific facts, and standard reference material shown in the app are not claimed as proprietary to Banana Apps.

The app bundles Apple iOS frameworks and the offline math libraries CortexJS Compute Engine 0.73.0 and complex-esm. Open-source notices and license texts apply to those components. The complete bundled open-source inventory is being finalized.

We may change, update, add, remove, or discontinue features or the app itself. New versions may require newer iOS/iPadOS versions or newer devices. We may end distribution of the app at any time.

The app tries to produce correct results but may contain bugs, edge cases, or unsupported inputs. Symbolic solving, graphing, unit conversion, and formula calculators can return incorrect or unexpected output for certain expressions.

The app is not a substitute for an instructor or a qualified professional. For exams, professional engineering, medical, financial, legal, safety-critical, or emergency decisions, independently verify results before acting on them.

App data is stored locally on your device. Device loss, OS updates, reset flows, uninstall, or storage failures can result in loss of local data. Keep your own backups (for example, by exporting PDF study sheets) for work you cannot afford to lose.

These Terms are between you and Banana Apps. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app. Apple's standard end-user license applies as a minimum baseline; if these Terms conflict with the Apple standard EULA on a point Apple requires, the Apple standard EULA controls on that point.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Banana Apps disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Banana Apps is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the app. Exact scope, exclusions, statutory rights, and limits are subject to attorney review.

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will update the Last Updated date and, where practical, provide additional notice. Continued use after the update means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing law, venue, and dispute process: the laws of the State of Florida, with disputes resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
