Third-party and platform services
Military Veteran Help relies on the following services:
- Apple — iOS/iPadOS operating system, local storage (SwiftData, Keychain), UserNotifications for optional local reminders, native share sheet, and App Store distribution. No Banana Apps account is created by Apple services.
- Supabase — Optional account authentication, cloud profile row storage for the allowlisted subset, and the account-deletion Edge Function. Used only when the shipped build is configured with Supabase credentials and you choose to create an account. Supabase hosts data in the United States and lists its sub-processors publicly
- Email providers — If you email Banana Apps for support, your message is stored by our email provider. the support mailbox is hosted by Google Workspace, restricted to authorized Banana Apps LLC personnel, retained for up to 24 months, and deleted on verified request
Supabase is used only as optional authentication and profile infrastructure when the shipped build is configured for account backup. Apple is used as authentication infrastructure only if Sign in with Apple is enabled and verified in the submitted build.
How information is used
Local information is used to operate the app's features on your device. The allowlisted cloud profile subset is used only to restore your basic profile when you sign in on a new device. Support emails are used only to answer your message.
What is transmitted vs. on-device
Transmitted to Banana Apps (only if you opt into account backup): the five allowlisted profile fields above and account authentication material handled by Supabase.
Everything else described in this policy stays on your device unless you deliberately share it via the share sheet or an export file.
Linked to an account
Only the allowlisted profile subset and Supabase-managed auth material are linked to an account, and only when you use account backup. All local records described above are not linked to a Banana Apps account.
Storage locations and international processing
Local data is stored on your device. Supabase data region and sub-processors: Supabase hosts data in the United States and lists its sub-processors publicly. Support-email provider location: the support mailbox is hosted by Google Workspace, restricted to authorized Banana Apps LLC personnel, retained for up to 24 months, and deleted on verified request. Website hosting and analytics processing are covered separately in the Website Privacy Policy.
Security
The app relies on the standard iOS app sandbox, the local Keychain for optional session material, and platform controls Apple provides. Supabase handles authentication and profile storage using its own security practices when account backup is enabled. We use reasonable safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not guarantee security.
Retention
Local records remain on your device until you change or remove them, use Profile → Data & privacy → Reset everything, or uninstall the app. Cloud profile rows for opted-in accounts persist until you delete the account through Profile → Account & backup → Delete account or ask support to delete it.
Support-email retention, Supabase backup retention, and any legal retention exceptions: Supabase backups and logs containing your data are purged on their standard rolling schedule, typically within 30 days of deletion, the support mailbox is hosted by Google Workspace, restricted to authorized Banana Apps LLC personnel, retained for up to 24 months, and deleted on verified request.
Account deletion and its limits
The in-app deletion flow (Profile → Account & backup → Delete account) invokes an Edge Function intended to delete the authenticated Supabase user and the cloud profile row when it succeeds.
Cloud account deletion does not automatically delete:
- Local SwiftData records on your device (use Profile → Data & privacy → Reset everything)
- Local iOS Keychain material (behavior after uninstall is not yet confirmed)
- Copies of email you have sent to support
- Provider-side backups, operational logs, or every backup copy
See Delete Account for the full explanation.
Local clear, reset, and export controls
Profile → Data & privacy → Reset everything clears local records on your device. The local JSON export creates a copy you can share via the share sheet. Uninstalling removes Military Veteran Help's locally accessible application data from that device; Keychain residue behavior is not yet confirmed.
Permission withdrawal
You can withdraw the notification permission at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Military Veteran Help. The app requests no other runtime permissions.
Children's privacy
Whether the app is directed to children: the app is not directed to children under 13. Minimum age: ages 13 and up; the app does not currently enforce an in-app age gate. We do not claim COPPA, GDPR-K, or other children's-privacy compliance without qualified legal review.
Website vs. app scope
This policy covers the app only. Visits to getbananaapps.com are covered by the Website Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
Policy changes
Fixed effective and last-updated dates are shown at the top of this page. Material changes may be described through the updated page or, where appropriate, an App Store update. There is no in-app policy-change notice mechanism today.
