RetroLens AI Notice (G7X AI Look)

If you never use G7X AI Look, RetroLens does not send any of your photos for AI processing. On-device camera and photo effects that don't require AI stay on your device.

Website disclosure alone is not consent. Before the first time your photo is transmitted for AI processing, the app is expected to show an in-app just-in-time disclosure and record your explicit consent. Confirming that consent surface exists in every entry point is an app-side launch blocker separate from this page.

1. You select or capture a photo and choose G7X AI Look.
2. The image is prepared and uploaded to our private Supabase Storage.
3. A RetroLens server function sends the image and a fixed photo-editing instruction to the Google Gemini Developer API.
4. Google Gemini processes the image and returns a transformed image.
5. The result is stored temporarily in private RetroLens storage so you can view, download, retry, or post it, then cleaned up on a routine schedule when no longer needed.
6. If you post the result to your Circle, it follows normal Circle-post visibility.

Google receives the selected image, the fixed editing instruction, and technical request information (for example, model, request identifier, and timestamp). Google's processing of images submitted through the Gemini API is governed by Google's Gemini API terms and Google's privacy policy. Consumer Gemini app settings do not necessarily control API processing initiated by RetroLens.

We do not currently make specific promises about Google's paid/free service tier, Zero Data Retention approval, human review, logging, or training on our project:

• Google Gemini is used under a paid Google Cloud service tier
• Gemini paid API requests are handled with zero-day data retention
• Gemini requests are handled under the paid Google Cloud terms, which do not use customer content to train models and are not subject to human review

Banana Apps does not use your private photos to train its own public AI models, and does not use your private photos to train Google's models on our behalf.

• AI outputs may be inaccurate, unexpected, lower quality than expected, or visually alter parts of an image (including faces, text, hands, or backgrounds). Review results before saving, downloading, or sharing them.
• Purchasing AI credits does not guarantee any particular creative result.
• We may reject or interrupt processing for safety, abuse-prevention, technical, capacity, content-policy, or legal reasons.
• The feature may be temporarily unavailable, delayed, degraded, rate-limited, or interrupted because of third-party provider failures, model changes, network conditions, or maintenance.
• You are responsible for how you use AI outputs, including whether you post them to your Circle or share them outside RetroLens.
• You must have the right to submit the image and, where required, the permission of any people who appear in it.

An in-app "report this AI result" surface is a separate launch consideration and is not confirmed to exist in every entry point.

One AI Look currently uses 50 credits. RetroLens grants eligible authenticated users one free AI Look per day. Additional credits are sold as consumables through the storefront — the credits per pack and price are shown by the store before you confirm and can change.
