Sweep Support
Help using Sweep — a free, accountless, on-device photo-library cleanup tool for iPhone and iPad. Sweep has no login, no subscription, and no billing, so we will never ask for a password, complete payment-card details, government identification, or your photo-library content by email.

Current public version at the time of this page: 1.0.1.
Photo access denied
Open iOS Settings for Sweep, or go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > Sweep, and grant access. Exact labels can vary by iOS/iPadOS version. Without Photo Library access, Sweep cannot scan or delete media.
Limited access
With Limited access, Sweep works only with the items you have explicitly authorized. Full access lets Sweep review your complete library, but Full access is not required to use Sweep. Choose the access level you are comfortable with.
Empty or incomplete results
Confirm Photo Library access, run the scan again from the dashboard, and give the scan time to finish. Limited access, iCloud-offloaded assets, and conservative matching can cause some items to be omitted from suggestions. This is expected behavior.
Storage estimates
Storage figures shown in Sweep are estimates derived from media metadata, not exact encoded file sizes. Formats, edits, and iCloud storage optimization can change how much space is actually recovered on the device after deletion.
Similar and duplicate suggestions
Review every group before confirming. Favorites are excluded from Sweep's automatic selection and Quick Sweep, but a favorite can still be manually selected in some review lists or grids. You can override the suggested keeper at any time.
Deletion
Every deletion is confirmed twice: first in Sweep, then in Apple PhotoKit's system prompt. If you cancel Apple's confirmation or the deletion fails, Sweep should not count that as a cleanup. Deleted items go to Apple Photos' Recently Deleted; retention, navigation, and recovery are controlled by Apple and can vary by iOS/iPadOS version and iCloud configuration.
Quick Sweep
Closing Quick Sweep or leaving the flow without a confirmed Apple deletion does not delete any queued items. Only items that pass Apple's system deletion prompt are removed.
Reminders
Go to More > Stay ahead > Turn On to schedule an optional local notification about 30 days later. Sweep has no push service, no notification server, and no remote campaign provider. Change or revoke the notification permission in iOS Settings > Notifications > Sweep.
Account, subscription, or billing questions
Sweep has no account, subscription, purchase, restore-purchase flow, or refund process. If you receive a message asking for a password, payment, or restore step to "unlock" Sweep, it is not from us.
