Sweep Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, or using Sweep you agree to these Terms and to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use Sweep.

Sweep helps you review your Apple Photos library, surface likely cleanup opportunities (large videos, screenshots and screen recordings, similar and burst photos, and conservative duplicate groups), and delete items you confirm through Apple Photos. Scanning, similarity comparison, and estimates run on your device.

Minimum age: ages 13 and up; users under the age of majority should use the app only with parental or guardian consent. Sweep is intended for general iPhone and iPad users on iOS or iPadOS 26.0 or later.

Sweep does not create Banana Apps accounts. There is no login, password, or profile you register with us.

Subject to these Terms, Banana Apps grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sweep on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. Sweep is licensed, not sold. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies to your use of Sweep. These Terms supplement, and do not conflict with, the Apple Standard EULA; where a conflict exists on a point Apple requires, the Apple Standard EULA controls on that point.

Nothing in these Terms restricts activities that applicable law expressly permits, including any right to reverse engineer software that cannot lawfully be waived.

Use Sweep only in ways that comply with applicable law and Apple's platform rules. Do not use Sweep to process content you do not have the right to review or delete.

Sweep, its interface, code, and Banana Apps materials are owned by Banana Apps LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws.

You own the photos and videos in your Apple Photos library. Banana Apps does not receive your photos, videos, thumbnails, or scan metadata from the app, so no operational or distribution license is required from you for Sweep to function. Permissions you grant are used only for the functionality described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for reviewing every deletion Sweep proposes before confirming it. Favorites are excluded from Sweep's automatic selection and Quick Sweep, but a favorite can still be manually selected in some review lists or grids; you should review favorites before deleting.

Every deletion is confirmed twice: first inside Sweep, and then by Apple PhotoKit's system deletion prompt. Only PhotoKit-confirmed deletions are counted by Sweep.

Deleted items enter Apple Photos' Recently Deleted. Retention, recovery, navigation, and timing of Recently Deleted are controlled by Apple and may vary by iOS/iPadOS version and iCloud configuration. Banana Apps cannot guarantee recovery of any item.

Storage figures and similar/duplicate suggestions are estimates derived from metadata and may be incomplete or wrong. Sweep does not perform automatic deletion.

Sweep is currently free to download and use. It contains no in-app purchases, subscriptions, trials, credits, paywalls, ads, refund process, or restore-purchase flow operated by Banana Apps. If this ever changes we will update these Terms and disclose purchase terms in the app before you pay.

Sweep does not use generative AI, does not host user-generated content, does not provide community, messaging, or social features, and does not run moderation, reporting, or blocking systems. Terms addressing those topics do not apply.

Sweep relies on Apple frameworks and services (PhotoKit, Photos, Vision, UserNotifications, UserDefaults, OSLog, App Store distribution, and, where applicable, iCloud Photos). Apple services are governed by Apple's own terms and policies. These Terms are between you and Banana Apps; Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for Sweep.

We may change, update, add, remove, or discontinue features or Sweep itself. New versions may require newer iOS/iPadOS versions or newer devices. We do not promise continuous availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sweep is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Banana Apps disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms limits statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Banana Apps is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Sweep, including deletions that pass through Apple Photos. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Exact scope, exclusions, and any monetary cap are subject to attorney review.

You may stop using Sweep at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue Sweep or a specific feature at any time, consistent with applicable law.

Governing law, venue, and dispute approach: the laws of the State of Florida, with disputes resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida.

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will update the Last Updated date. Sweep does not currently include an in-app change-notice mechanism. Continued use after the update means you accept the revised Terms.
