SnapTurn Privacy Policy

SnapTurn is a handwriting and homework scanner that turns paper pages into clean PDFs. It is operated by Banana Apps LLC ("Banana Apps LLC," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy is short on purpose: SnapTurn does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

SnapTurn is built to be a fully on-device utility.

  • No accounts. No login.
  • No analytics, tracking, or advertising.
  • No third-party SDKs.
  • No data is sent to our servers — we don't operate servers for SnapTurn.
  • All scans, images, and PDFs stay on your device.

Information we collect

None.

SnapTurn does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There is no account system, no user identifier, no device identifier we record, no usage telemetry, and no crash reporting service integrated into the app.

Camera and photo access

SnapTurn requests access to your device's camera (and, if you choose, your photo library) so you can scan pages.

  • Camera frames and captured images are processed entirely on your device.
  • Scans, edits, and the resulting PDFs are saved locally on your device.
  • Images never leave your device through SnapTurn.

You can change or revoke camera and photo permissions at any time in your device settings.

Sharing scans and PDFs

SnapTurn integrates with the standard iOS share sheet so you can send a scan or PDF to an app or service of your choosing — for example, Mail, Messages, Files, or a cloud drive. When you tap share, you decide where the file goes. Once you send a file to another app or service, that destination's own privacy practices apply. SnapTurn does not have visibility into what you do with the file afterward.

Children's privacy

SnapTurn does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data is collected, transmitted, or stored off-device, there is no personal information about any user — child or adult — to access, sell, or share.

Security

Your scans and PDFs are stored in SnapTurn's sandboxed app storage on your device, protected by the standard security model of iOS. We recommend keeping your device updated and protected with a passcode or biometric lock.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how SnapTurn handles data — for example, by adding an optional feature that requires cloud processing — we will update this policy and the effective date above before the change ships. Material changes will be reflected here.
